The main different between both ares is weather, San Francisco is famous for raw winter day
Most of people said the first thing need to do is buying dehumidifier and heater when you live in San Francisco
Before you go out in winter, you need to open window and feel how cold from outside, thereby determinate to wear what kinds of clothes and bring umbrella or not.
Although dometic clock and air conditioner have a function to display temperture, room temperature cannot be used for determination.
I need to know the temperature from outside, the temperature difference from indoor and outdoor is the main information
Most of people believe mobile phone can display outdoor temperature, isn’t it?
The information of Mobile phone weather Apps is come from local weather station, we ca use their weather forecast for preparation. But the locations of some weather stations are far away from resident area, no matter how the information are accuracy, it cannot be more accuracy than my own temperature gauge which information is come faster and direct to reflect actual temperature.
So I make a decision to purchase a weather station which can display indoor and outdoor temperature.
In the market, most of weather station is not wireless for outdoor sensor. It needs a cable to link to the weather station together which I don’t like it, so this version would not be considered
Today, I found a weather station is called Houzetek PT3378 weather station. Main functions are indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity detection, barometer for weather forecast, alarm clock and perpetual calendar

Simple content in the box: Except main object, instruction manual and power cable, it is also included outdoor sensor

Two kinds of power supply methods: one is plug in power supply directly using power cable, another is insert 2 x 2A batteries. I recommend to use both methods at the same time (It is because the weather station can be still running by batteries if the power supply is stopped. Otherwise, Time has to be reset after provided power again)

▼Wireless sensor needs to be placed under shadow area as well as cannot be get wet under raining, so I put it at the back balcony
Instruction manual mentioned the distance between outdoor sensor and main unit can be reached max 200 foot in open area, transfer to metric is around 60 meters. But need to pay attention not too many cement walls in between outdoor sensor and main unit.

Simply, Left side is display outdoor temperature and humidity, Right side is display indoor data.
Right bottom corner (A6) is existing air pressure
Green color number at left bottom corner is existing date and time.
The most special is the display at the top of middle on the screen (A11). It is future 6 hours weather forecast. According to different weather situation, it would display 6 kinds of weather modal, Sunny, part of sunny, cloudy, raining, rainstorm and snowing.
Moreover, it also included weather alarm. If the temperature exceeds preset temperature, it would have alarm tone to remind you aware outdoor temperature before leaving at home
Basically, it is only insert batteries, setting existing time and place the outdoor sensor, very conveniently.
It is recommended this weather station for below environments:
Living in humidity location such as San Francisco,New Orleans It can be bought a dehumidifier according to living humidity level in order to improve environmental quality
Bakery: Summer season in Taiwan is a high temperature and humidity, flour is difficult to storage in that period. Moisture in flour would be changed according to different humidity level. It would be agglomeration easily in high moisture in flour, so the best humidity level and temperature for flour storage are 60-70% and 18-24 C. This weather station has included these two functions.
Electronics factory, Semiconductor factory, Program Control Room, Explosion-proof factory..etc: Those locations are requested humidity level between 40%-60%RH. If relative humidity is not enough, it will cause static electricity that finished product yield would decrease, wafer damage as well as explosion in Explosion-proof location. [Electrostatic bombardment] can bring inestimable damage.
Elder family members: Young people has a strong body, strong perception for environment, good adaptability, so that they are seldom affected by environmental changing. But elder people will be sensitive under temperature difference. Many diseases would be caused such as cold, nose allergy as well as may be caused serious diseases such as respiratory tract or cardiovascular diseases. This problem cannot be ignored. If a tool can be helped family member to monitor indoor and outdoor weather situation, it can be known what kinds of clothes should be wore without test the temperature by themselves standing at outside. Then it can save many expenses in medical.
Disadvantages:
Viewable angle is not too wide for the screen, it cannot be viewable if the angle is over specific angle (it is around 45 degree). So it would be aware the position of the unit.
